fold in, fold out, the inaugural EP by Density512, features world premiere recordings of music by three composers from the Density512 collective. Referred to as “(Phillip) Glass on crack” by members of the ensemble, Nicholas Perry Clark’s Serenade No. 0 is a five minute excursion through an unexpected array of colors using only three chords. Akshaya Avril Tucker’s Enough, to Unfold explores colors, phrases, and gestures inspired by the Raag Madhuwanti (an evening Raag) and reflects the essence of watching a Hindustani singer perform. Symphonic in its breadth of musical journey, Russell Podgorsek’s Chamber Symphony oozes with a kaleidoscope of influences including heavy metal, cubism, Romanian gypsy music, Möbius strips, and classical form to create a singular musical landscape.
